NOV 18, 1974 / NEW ORLEANS JAZZ PRACTICE. Rare pic of Maravich and new head Butch van Breda Kolff at VBK’s first practice after taking over for Scotty Robertson. No sign of the matchbox he wrote his practice plans on.

1973 NBA ALL STAR GAME / CHICAGO, IL. Maravich: 8 points in his All Star debut. On this play, he bounced the ball off Wilt Chamberlain’s dome and in to the basket! Okay, I made that up. It probably crossed Pete’s mind. Either way, great photo. 

SEP 1970: This caricature of Maravich ran in national papers over the last week of September in 1970, which coincided with his early preseason appearances.

OCT 17, 1974 / JAZZ @ KNICKS. Maravich launches his first basket in the first ever game for the expansion Jazz. He scored 15 points in a 89-74 loss.
